This week saw our Davroe Team travel to New South Wales as the Official Hair Sponsor for Sydney Fashion Palette.
The team from Adelaide, lead by our Director Mary, arrived Monday morning to be greeted by our National Sales Manager Andrew, so off we walked to the van he had hired and loaded up our luggage. “Why have you got so many bags” Andrew said. Did he really have to ask? You just never know what you might need when you’re traveling! We headed to the hotel to regroup and go over our hair looks for the shows one last time.

The day of Fashion Palette was here; we collected our supplies and headed to the Art Gallery of NSW, what a magnificent venue this was for the show! It was all hands on deck as the rest of teams started arriving everyone was busy setting up their stations in preparation, Alison Jade and her makeup team had also arrived, it was all systems go backstage!
As the models reached the venue they were directed into hair or make up it was go, go go! Photographers taking photos, reporters interviewing, we even filmed our Facebook live from backstage, wow what a buzz!
Whilst all this was happening backstage the Art Gallery had been transformed into a sea of chairs surrounding the runway. Guests took their seats, the lights were dimmed, the show was about to start. Now I’ve been to Fashion shows as a guest, but to be part of the backstage crew was on a whole other level. The atmosphere, the vibe was like nothing I had seen before. The models were sent to their designated dressing areas, the fashion palette teams were ready to dress and undress them.
The first group was dressed lined up and ready to go, well not quite! The designers checked the gowns, Alison and her team were retouching the makeup and our Davroe team were checking the hair. The lights were dimmed, the music started, the first model walked out.
Amongst all this backstage madness, Marina stood quietly and patiently waiting her turn, dressed in the most spectacular dress of the evening, the Alin Le Kal showstopper. Wow, what a vision!
