Those of you who have been with Davroe for a while would have had the pleasure of meeting our Davroe National Educator, Sharon.
Sharon has worked with Davroe for over 11 years and has been a very important part of our Davroe Team. Just before Christmas, Sharon decided to make the big move and start up her own business; Mrs S & Co, situated in beautiful Glenelg. There she has wonderful array of gifts and clothing available to suit everyone.
We sat down with Sharon over coffee to talk all things Mrs S & Co!

How long were you in the hair industry?
I have been in the hairdressing industry for 33 years, which has taken me from the techniques of finger waving and perming through to modern braids and creative colouring.
When did you start working at Davroe?
I started working at Davroe in 2006, 11 years ago.
What are you going to miss the most about the hair industry?
I think I will miss the contact with creative people and all the latest techniques and styles which, seem to be a consistent turn style of evolving fashion.
What are your 3 most memorable moments from being in the hair industry?
I think that would have to be when I shaved a bald patch in my bosses hair a week before he got married (luckily his hair grew fast and it disappeared in a few days). Starting my own salon, and representing Davroe at Sydney Fashion Palette.
What made you want to take the plunge with a ‘sea change’ at this point in your career?
I think even though I still love hairdressing, I needed a new challenge and having my own business again has just been perfect for my lifestyle and family commitments.
Mrs S and Co, opened this week, how was your first week out in the retail world?
When I entered my first week in this new industry I had no expectations and was prepared for whatever came my way. I was welcomed by local traders and customers with open arms and lots of positive feedback. My first week certainly exceeded everything I thought could be possible.
Where is your shop?
Mrs S & Co is located at the Glenelg South Shopping Centre on 101 – 103 Partridge Street Glenelg South Australia.
What kind of items can we expect to find at Mrs S and Co?
Mrs S & Co has “a little bit of everything” with clothes, handbags, jewellery, candles, pillows and home wares, you are certain to find something you love.
What are you looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to some quality time with my amazing family and what challenges 2018 might bring.
Whilst we’ll miss having Sharon as part of our Davroe Team, we wish her nothing but the best for all her future endeavors.
