The greatest duos of all time can exist independently of each other, but totally shouldn’t.
Sure, some things stand alone just fine, but there is something to be said about a partnership: when the combination of two products creates something incredible!
Every power duo consists of two products that work beautifully together for enhanced results. After all, you can’t take care of your hair with just one product; amazing hair needs an amazing routine, consisting of your favourite shampoos, rinse-off treatments, conditioners, leave-in treatments, elixirs, oils and styling products.
As well-versed Davroe lovers, we can safely say that everyone in the Davroe Team has at least one Power Duo they can’t live without, so we thought it was about time we shared them with the rest of our Davroe Family.
In this series we’ll be talking about the must-have Power Duos from our Staff at HQ, Education and Sales Teams, and, of course, our Davroe Ambassadors.
To kick-start this series, we sat down with Davroe Ambassador, and International hair sensation, Jordan Robertson.
Jordan, what is your favourite Davroe Power Duo?
Hands down my Favourite DUO from DAVROE is the Smoothing Balm and CURLiCUE Hydrating Oil.
What are your tips for perfect application?
When working with products (apart from volume desired products) always starts mid lengths to ends when first applying, as these are the areas that are normally more dry in texture/porous, so the product will be absorbed more easily.
Another point on this, is when applying the products on your hands you must make sure you evenly distribute the product, think of it like applying a hand moisturizer. This will ensure your product will be evenly distributed through the hair and if you cocktail products together it gives you guarantee that the product is perfectly mixed together.
How much do you usually use of each product?
I normally use a 20 cent size amount of the DAVROE Smoothing Balm to 3 drops of the curlicue oil – I can’t keep my hands off this combo!
What makes Hydrating Hair Oil and Smoothing Balm so damn good together?
For me, the combination of both is great, because they are both light and, when working with all different textures, sometimes it’s hard to gauge how much the hair can take. The Smoothing Balm is incredible for helping to really smooth the cuticle down, so the frizz is eliminated. The extra boost from the Hydrating Hair Oil just adds that incredible shine, and the scent it gives off the hair when you’re blow drying is phenomenal.
Sometimes it can be daunting to use an oil; if this is you, then the CURLiCUE Hydrating Hair Oil is the perfect place to start building that confidence.
